bachelor's at Chemistry (2001) and master's at Organic Chemistry from Federal University of Paraná, Brazil (2003), with PhD at Analytical Chemistry from Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil (2009) with post-doc at University of Zaragoza (2014) Spain. Has 15 years as professor at Federal University of Sergipe and lead of Petroleum and Energy from Biomass research group. Has experience in Analytical Chemistry applied to bio-products from pyrolysis of biomasses, as well as organic geochemistry of crude oils. Is co-founder of a startup Bio Carbon Brazil with focus in production of biochar and bio-oil. Member of the Brazilian Chemistry Society, Brazilian Society of Mass Spectrometry, where he currently serves as Social Director (2023-2025) and as general secretary of the Latin American Association of Organic Geochemistry (ALAGO).
